Comparative statistics were recently released for the Presbyterian Church (USA) for 2012. One statistic that caught my attention is that “more than half of Presbyterian congrgations (54%) are considered small, having 100 or fewer members. The median Presbyterian congregation has 93 members.” The church I served, the Warren Avenue Presbyterian Church in Saginaw, had membership of 85, well within this median range. This church, like many of our small churches, has a ‘huge heart’ in serving our Lord.
